July 18th, 1917 - March 28th, 2012
Dorothy J. Maddox, 94, of Greeley, CO passed away March 28, 2012 at Life Care Center of Greeley. She was born July 18, 1917 to James and Sarah (Borntrager) Sharp in Mattoon, Illinois where she grew up and graduated from high school. In 1941 she married O.D. Maddox. Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, golf and bowling. She is survived by her daughter, Barb Comstock of Greeley; sons, Jim (Peggy) Maddox of Sahuarita, AZ, John (Diane) Maddox of Peoria, IL; nine grandchildren; and twelve great grandchildren. Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Jim and Carl; sisters, Catherine and Margaret. Private family services will be held. Memorial Contributions may be made to "Life Care Center of Greeley Alzheimer’s Unit” in care of Adamson Funeral and Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
