Lorena Jean Gustafson
July 26th, 1919 - November 8th, 2012
Jean Gustafson, 93, of Greeley, CO passed away November 8, 2012 at Bonell Good Samaritan Community. She was born July 26, 1919 in Kersey, CO to Ralph V. and Elsie (Hill) Nessler. She graduated from Kersey High School and Barnes Business College. In January 1938 she married Dennis Gustafson who has been the love of her life for 74 years. Jean worked as a secretary to the vice president of Everett Pacific Ship Yard in Everett, WA, was secretary for the German Prisoner of War Camp west of Greeley, and was employed at Colorado State College, now the University of Northern Colorado. Her true joy in life was her family. She loved being a wife and mother and always put others before herself. She had lived at Bonell Good Samaritan Community with her husband since December 2010. Jean is survived by her husband, Dennis of Greeley; sons, Dana (Elaine) Gustafson of Eaton, CO, Jace (Linda Cline) of Greeley; grandchildren, Wiley, Donna, Wade, Josh, and Tracey; and numerous great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Alice Hopkins; son, Don Gustafson and granddaughter, Mary Sheehan. Services will include, viewing from 4-6 p.m. Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Adamson Chapel; funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2012 also at Adamson Chapel; and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the "Bonell Good Samaritan Community” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
