Shasta Michelle Schroetlin

Shasta Schroetlin, 44, of Evans went to be with her Lord on Sunday, December 9, at the Hospice of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO. She was born October 5, 1968, in Houston, TX to Jim and Connie (Dinges) Priddy. Shasta moved to Colorado with her family in 1973. She went through Littleton Public Schools and graduated in 1987. She graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 1995. On June 8, 1991 Shasta married Kevin J. Schroetlin, the love of her life for 21 years. Throughout most of her life Shasta had health problems; however, God provided the strength through her faith to persevere against these issues. Throughout her life she always had a deep abiding faith in God to help her in times of need. Shasta’s passion was teaching and directing Vacation Bible School (VBS) at two churches in the Greeley area. She taught and directed for 16 years at Hillside Baptist Church and for two years at the West Greeley Baptist Church. Shasta loved homemaking and being the backbone of her family. Shasta is survived by her beloved husband, Kevin; daughter Kourtney; sons Jakob and Justin all of Evans. Her parents, Jim & Connie Priddy of Highlands Ranch, CO; a sister, Kim Bain and husband John of Littleton, CO; her grandmothers Mrs. Wilma Priddy of Littlefield, TX and Mrs. Minnie Carpenter of Amherst, TX. Also surviving are Jim and Linda Schroetlin, in-laws of Yuma, CO and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Memorial Service 11 a.m. Saturday, December 15, at West Greeley Baptist Church, 3251 W. 22nd Street, Greeley.
