Romeo "Ron" Delano Williams

Romeo "Ron” Williams, 75, of Greeley, CO passed away March 30, 2013 at Life Care Center of Greeley. He was born March 30, 1937 to John A. and Goldie M. (McDermott) Williams in Anselmo, NE. Ron grew up in Anselmo and graduated from Anselmo High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy from November 16, 1961 until his discharge on January 31, 1964. Ron was a construction superintendant for Garney Companies and Colorado Pipeline. He loved the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, Nebraska Cornhuskers and gambling at Blackhawk. Ron especially enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Bubba. He was a member of the Operator’s Union and VFW Post #2121. He is survived by two daughters, Lori Williams of Greeley, and Cindy Hernandez of Greeley; three grandchildren, Mariah and Arturo Corral of Greeley, Marissa and Eduardo of Greeley, and Michael Williams of Greeley; five great-grandchildren, M’Kyah, Zharyen, Brianna, Landon, and L’lahrie; two sisters, Margaret Dickinson of Greeley, and Eva Jean and Dean Sheets of Kersey; and several nieces and nephews. Ron was preceded in death by his parents and seven brothers, John, Wilbur, Jack, Bob, Oscar, George, and Ray. A celebration of life service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 6, 2013 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
