Laura Hartz
September 13th, 1920 - April 26th, 2013
Laura H. Hartz died on April 26, 2013 in Sacramento, CA. She was born September 13, 1920 in Aguilar, CO to George and Ann (Shelenberger) Roderick. Laura grew up in Windsor, CO and graduated from Windsor High School. In August of 1938 she married Charles Williams. He died in July of 1977. She married Otto Hartz, Jr. in October of 1950. He died in April of 1991. Otto played many instruments, including the banjo and Laura enjoyed listening to him play polka and country music. She especially loved country music and one of the first things she did each morning was to turn the radio on. As a young person, Laura enjoyed going to basketball games and even in her later years still enjoyed watching basketball on television. Her family always held first place in her heart and she was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Laura is survived by her daughters, Virginia Dodson of Sacramento, CA, Juanita Kreinbring and husband Richard of Lexington, NC; stepdaughter, Patty Riley of Blythwood, SC; stepson, Ronald Hartz and wife Beth of Cheyenne, WY; and her very special granddaughter, Margaret Allshouse and husband Jack of Sacramento, CA who was her caregiver and Guardian Angel. Laura is also survived by her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; son, Loren Williams; stepsons, Delbert Hartz and Duane Hartz; stepdaughter, Virginia Reynolds; and brother, Charles Roderick.
