Emil Anderson died suddenly Friday, November 13, 1959. He had been in ill health for the past several months. Mr. Anderson was born February 13, 1882 in Ostervola, Sweden. He came to the United States with his parents in 1891 to Goodland, Kansas where his father homesteaded. In 1902 he moved to Greeley and farmed what is now CSC campus. On July 1, 1909 he married Selma A. Carlson. Mr. Anderson farmed until 1930. Since that time he has been a teamster. Mr. Anderson has assisted in the construction of many of the buildings in Greeley. Surviving are his wife, Selma; three children, Carl A. Anderson of Colorado Springs, Mrs. Gladys Covert of Phoenix, Arizona, Stanley C. Anderson of North Brunswick, New Jersey; two brothers, Fred T. and Axel Anderson, both of Greeley; and five grandchildren.
