Arabella "Bella" Mendez
March 1st, 1939 - January 16th, 2014
Bella Maes, 74, of Greeley, CO formerly of Las Vegas, NM, passed away January 16, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center. She was born March 1, 1939 in Las Vegas, NM to Rafael and Lugarda (Montano) Lujan. Bella married Charlie Baca in 1960 in Las Vegas and together they had three children; Carla, Ronnie and Freddy. They divorced in 1963. She later married Fermin Maes and together they had two children; Juan and Jude. She moved to Greeley in 1990. Bella was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She was always smiling and loved to dance and spend time with family and friends. She will be greatly missed. She is survived by her children, Carla (Ted) Trujillo, Freddy Baca, Juan Fermin Maes, Jr. and Jude Maes; grandchildren, Ted Jr., Adrian, Marissa, Joshua, John Nathan, Noel, Chelsea, Vuleria, Lazarro, Arianna, Yasmin, Janene, Jolene, Isabella, Isaiah and Iisha; great grandchildren, Noah, Lilly, Emry, Brandan, Justin, Genesis, Azick, Arian, Jayden, Kaden, Emaree, Fermin IV and Daija, sisters; Mary Maestas, Nash Lujan and Edwina Lujan. Bella was preceded in death by her parents, Rafael and Lujarda; son, Ronnie Baca; grandson, Fermin Mase III; brothers, Don, Dewi and Noe Lujan; sister, Lesfora Estrada. Rosary at 7:00pm Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Adamson Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial 10:00am Thursday, January 23, 2014 at St Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th St. Interment will be at Linn Grove cemetery.
