Richard Dean Lamb

Richard "Dick” Lamb, 83, of Greeley, CO passed away peacefully February 17, 2014 at Grace Pointe Continuing Care in Greeley. He was born November 5, 1930 in Madison County, IA to Cloyd and Grace (McCants) Lamb. Dick grew up in Winterset, IA and graduated high school in Winterset. He received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana Tech. On August 11, 1951, in Winterset, he married Dolores Phillips. Dick was a veteran of the Korean War, where he was a member of the Air Force. Dick was a health nut, who enjoyed riding motorcycles, billiards, pool and snooker. He worked as a civil engineer. He was a Past Exalted Ruler and lifetime member of the Greeley BPOE #809, treasurer for the Greeley Lion’s Club and a member of the First Christian Church in Greeley. Dick is survived by his two sons, Dennis (Michelle) Lamb of Littleton, CO, and David (Nancy) Lamb of Berthoud, CO; four grandchildren, Jim Lamb of Atlanta, GA, Lindsay Lamb of New York, NY, Madeline Lamb of Littleton, and Emily Lamb of Littleton; one great-grandchild, Kyleigh; and one sister, Marilyn (Leroy) Knight of Loveland, CO. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Dolores. Celebration of Life Service will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2014 at Adamson Chapel, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, CO 80634.
