James Edward Fox
March 11th, 1922 - May 21st, 2014
James Edward Fox, 92, of Greeley, CO passed away May 21, 2014 at North Colorado Medical Center. He was born March 11, 1922 in Chicago, IL to James John and Hanora (Reynolds) Fox. James grew up in Bellwood, IL and graduated from Loyola University - Chicago where he earned his BA degree and from Pepperdine University earning his MBA. He served in the Army Air Force from 1943-1946. On October 5, 1946 he married Marie Gonio. James was a purchasing agent for Ford and Lockheed. He loved and delighted in spending time with his wife and extended family. He was a Great Books teacher, served on the Weld County Community Corrections Board, the Hope Therapy Board of Directors and was a CASA Volunteer. Survivors are his wife, Marie Fox of Greeley; daughters, Mary Fox of Fort Collins, CO, Ellen (John) Wheeler of Severance, CO, Margaret (Larry Barnard) Fox of Ann Arbor, MI, Nancy (Russ Clement) Fox of Milliken, CO; grandchildren, Heather (Wheeler) Reynolds of Salt Lake City, UT, Rusty (Clement) Oglesby of Wellington, CO, Rebecca (Hotchkiss) Phipps of Milliken, CO, Jeremy Hotchkiss of Greeley, CO, Patrick Wheeler of Houston, TX, Kathleen Wheeler of Denver, CO, Tom Clement of Thornton, CO, Marie Barnard, Liz Barnard and Amelia Barnard all of Ann Arbor, MI, Aren Fox-Berge of Aurora, CO; great grandchildren, Kaila Reynolds, Caleb Oglesby, Coy Oglesby, Charlie Reynolds, Emmie Reynolds, Anastacia Hotchkiss, William Phipps and Talon Clement. He was preceded in death by his son, James J. Fox; and brother, Donald F. Fox. Viewing will be from 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 2, 2014 at Adamson Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 2222 23rd Avenue, Greeley. Interment will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver. Memorial contributions may be made to "National Federation of the Blind” or "Braille Institute” in care of Adamson Funeral & Cremation Services, 2000 47th Avenue, Greeley, Colorado 80634.
