Geraldine Kathryn Warne

Geraldine K. "Geri” Warne, 87, of Windsor, Co passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was born March 14, 1927 in Ashley, IN. She was raised in Michigan where she met the love of her life, Bob Warne. They were married 54 years before his death. Prior to retirement Geri and Bob raised their five children in Des Moines, IA where they left a host of friends and family. For some time, they also lived in Florida and Arizona. Geri was a member of Eta Beta Phi Sorority and volunteered at Blank Hospital in Iowa and a variety of concerts and events in Arizona. Her keen sense of humor was enjoyed by all who knew her, and her outgoing and friendly personality made her the center of any gathering. Geri’s passion was her family. She spent endless hours with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren enjoying and watching their activities. She enjoyed many hobbies, including cooking, music and dancing, and was an avid sports fan. Geri will be remembered as a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, aunt and good friend. She is survived by her children, Ray Warne (Dana), Doug Warne (Judy), Denise Valadez (Nina), Cheryl Mitchell, Kim Davey (Pat); her brother, Paul Conrad; ten grandchildren, Bob Warne II (Mandy), Tara Warne (Melissa), Karin Negron (Ray), Kevin Warne, Chad Valadez (Chiara), Amny Innis (Ryan), Ryan Mitchell (Candace), Amanda Naylor (Josh), Bryan Davey (Leah) and Sarah Lobitz (Paul); 19 great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and many loved nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Warne; great granddaughter, Josephine Innis; and her brother, Bob Conrad. Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 30, 2014 at Adamson Chapel. Inurnment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Windsor.
