Georgia Marie Ewald

Georgia Marie Ewald, 90, of Greeley, CO passed away September 26, 2014 at Life Care Center in Greeley. She was born September 27, 1923 in Denver, CO to Milton and Francis (McDonough) Sever. Georgia graduated from Glendale High School in Glendale, CA in 1941. On September 5, 1945 she married John "Jack” Ewald at the Airbase in Lemoore, CA. They celebrated 69 years of marriage on September 5, 2014. Georgia and Jack lived in California until moving to Colorado in 1990. She served as president of both the Assistance League of Greeley and Newcomers Club. She enjoyed volunteering and taking cruises with her family were a real highlight. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She is survived by her husband, Jack Ewald of Greeley; sons, Donald and wife Anita of Grants Pass, OR, John and wife Cynthia of Brea, CA, Edward and wife Yuko of Greeley; grandchildren, Kimberley Lee and husband Douglass, Jeniece Ewald, Craig Ewald and wife Desiree, Casey Ewald and wife Ashley, Chad Ewald and wife Lisa; great- grandchildren, Maddison Lee, Brody and Dexter Ewald and Aden and Aubrey Ewald. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Frances McDonough Sever Maxwell and Kathryn Sever Dennin. A Memorial Mass will held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 10, 2014 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 915 12th Street, Greeley. Condolences may be sent to the family at adamsonchapels.com
