Edward Fredrick Schneider

Edward Schneider November 20, 1923 �" July 26, 2008 Age: 84 Residence: Greeley, Colorado Tribute: Edward Schneider was born in Greeley, CO to G. F. and Anna (Fischer) Schneider. He grew up in the Greeley Eaton area where he received his education. In 1971 he married Ruth Dill in Ault, CO. Mr. Schneider served in the Merchant Marines for three years then returned to Greeley and drove a cattle truck for Greeley Truck Lines. He later drove for Monfort Cattle until the labor strike then worked for Weld County Road and Bridge until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Schneider enjoyed camping, fishing, and being around people. In earlier times he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with friends. He was a member of the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) of Greeley and the American Legion Post 26. Mr. Schneider died Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Bonell Good Samaritan Center in Greeley. Survivors: His wife, Ruth Schneider of Greeley; two sons, John Schneider and wife Donna of Midlothian, VA. and Gregg Schneider of Eaton; a daughter, Candes Heitzler of Virginia; Two step-sons, Dan Dill Jr. of Kersey and Rick Dill of Greeley; one step-daughter, Barbara Lotrich and husband Al of Pueblo, CO; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren. Preceded in death by: His parents; four brothers Alex, Henry, Roy, and Albert Schneider; two sisters,Emma Fahrenbruch, Edna Hilzer; a step-daughter, Sharon Lowry and a step-son, Jason Rice. Services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 30, 2008 at Adamson West Chapel in Greeley. Interment: Eaton Cemetery in Eaton, CO.
