Paul Rule

Paul Rule October 15, 1928 �" July 21, 2008 Age: 79 Residence: Greeley, Colorado Tribute: Paul Rule went to be with Jesus Monday, July 21, 2008. He died at home of heart failure. Paul was born in Lamar, Colorado to Dona and Eva (Swartz) Rule. On May 24, 1952 he married Arlene Evans in Lamar. He served in the US Army in Germany from 1951-1953. His passion for life was obvious to all who knew him. He enjoyed church and family activities, farming, hunting and visiting with all he came in contact with. No one was ever a stranger to Paul. These were just a few of his favorite things. Compassion for others came naturally to him. His family can remember sharing a meal with someone he had befriended just hours earlier. Paul was generous with his time and possessions and spent timeless hours playing with or attending numerous activities with his grandchildren. He will best be remembered as leaving a "Legacy of Love”. He was respected for his work ethics, serving Texaco Refinery for 32 years. He was known not only for being dependable, but for being a friend to all. He continued his relationship with many of his work peers after retirement. Survivors: His wife, Arlene Rule of Greeley; four daughters, Connie Walker and husband Jim of Tulare, CA, Maureena Esau and husband Mark of Casper, WY, Rhonda Carey and husband Randy, Kim Rudkin and husband Ron, all of Fort Collins; seven grandsons; two granddaughters; three great grandchildren; one brother and five sisters. Preceded in death by: His parents; sisters, Glenda Haskell, Vera Beam and brother Jim Rule. Service: Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 26, 2008 at Greeley Wesleyan Church.
