Norma Jean Harrison

Norma Jean Harrison February 25, 1938 �" July 9, 2008 Age: 70 Residence: Greeley, Colorado Tribute: Norma Jean Harrison was born in Wheatridge, Colorado to Lloyd and Marjorie (Richey) Selby. She grew up in the Wheatridge/Golden area and graduated from Wheatridge High School in 1955. She obtained a BA Degree from the University of Colorado in Speech Pathology and graduated in 1959. On June 22, 1958 she married Floyd Harrison at the Lakewood United Methodist Church. Mrs. Harrison was a speech Pathologist in several grade schools in Colorado and California. She was a Nursing Home Administrator from 1975 �" 2000 when she and her husband retired and moved to Greeley. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, traveling and spending the winter in Desert Hot Spring, California. She was a member of the Carter Lake Sailing Club, Red Hat Society and Genesis United Methodist Church. She was a devoted and loving wife. Mrs. Harrison died Wednesday, July 9, 2008 at North Colorado Medical Center Hospice and Palliative Care in Greeley. Survivors: Her husband, Floyd Harrison of Greeley; a daughter, Kelly Kniss and husband Kevin of Greeley; a son, Richard Harrison and wife Susan of Omaha, Nebraska; two sisters, Joyce Berry and husband Cardon of Eads, Colorado, Betty Weaver and husband Larry of Golden, Colorado and seven grandchildren. Preceded in death by: Her parents. Service: A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2008 at Adamson West Chapel.
