Joseph Robert Helton June 3, 1941 �" April 17, 2008 Age: 66 Residence: Greeley, Colorado Tribute: Robert Joseph Helton, one of nine children was born in Greeley to Abram Lee and Herma Ruth (Hoff) Helton. He grew up and attended schools in Greeley. He served in the U.S. Army as a heavy artillery & rifle specialist. Robert proudly served his country and was a Vietnam War Veteran. After finishing his military tour of duty he returned to Greeley for several years, working at various jobs. He moved to Nebraska where he worked as a cabinet maker and contractor. He also was a diver for the Waste Management Company in Holdredge, Nebraska before his health forced him to seek disability. Mr. Helton loved spending time with his brother James going to garage sales and attending auctions. He collected brass items and trinkets. Mr. Helton died Thursday, April 17, 2008 at his residence. Survivors: Sisters, Myrtle Alice (Helton) Ludlow of Laramie, WY, Sybil Louverne (Helton) Tucker of Greeley; brothers, James Leroy Helton and wife Marie and Raymond Lee Helton and wife Lynda all of Greeley. Preceded in death by: His; parents; sister, Henrietta Fern Helton; brothers Louis Eugene Helton, Henry Donald Helton and Philip Dale Helton. Service: Graveside committal service with full military honors will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
