Hilda lead a long, full life. She filled her time doing things she really enjoyed, like crocheting.  She made so many beautiful crocheted projects, from blankets, to baby clothes. If someone was having a baby, she would immediately set to work  making baby sweaters, hats, booties, and blankets that she would give as gifts to family, and friends. She also enjoyed gardening, and jam making, and loved having an array  of fruit trees, and blackberry bushes in her back yard.

Hilda was also an avid collector of vintage glass, and antiques, and had a huge bell collection.

Her passion was shopping, and collecting, but mostly,  she really enjoyed spending time with her family, and life long friends. Hilda, and Dale were on bowling leagues with their friends for years, and they spent a lot of time up on their property near Dotsero, Colorado.  She really enjoyed fishing up there on the Colorado River, and caught many a big fish over the years.

Her years were filled with many adventures, from their trips to Yellowstone, and Oregon, and finally their trip of a lifetime to Alaska upon Dale’s retirement. She’ll now be rejoined with Dale, and the rest of her family, and rest in peace from her long journey.

Hilda’s memorial service will be held on March 29, 2024,  1:00pm at the Aspen Mortuaries, 6370 Union Street in Arvada, Colorado. The service will be officiated by Hilda’s grandson Pastor Brandon James Gonzales, of South Dakota.
