George William Hamilton, 86 years old, of Englewood, Colorado, passed away on July 29, 2020, at 11:40 AM at home. His family was present. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 13, 2020 at 9:15 AM at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Officiate: Elisa Erikson. He was the son of Ezra and Elsie (Handley) Hamilton. He married Fern Brown on June 8, 1955. George retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1972 after serving 21 years. Soon after his retirement, he went to work for Desk Incorporation. After serving 21 years with this company, he retired again. He was a good father and grandfather. The children adored him. George is survived by his wife, Fern Hamilton, with 65 years of marriage; three children: Patricia (Neal) DePooter, of Littleton, CO: Georgia A. Hamilton, Denver, CO: Mark (Paula) Hamilton, Aurora, CO: four grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren, and one brother, John R. Hamilton of Olney, Illinois. George is preceded in death by his parents, Ezra and Elsie Hamilton, one grandson, Corey DePooter; two sisters: Minnie Belle Finn and Rheta A. Tarr, and one brother: James Hamilton.
