Sandra Lea Coker

Sandi was born to Corletta and Frank Reinhold in Sioux City Iowa. She graduated from Central High School in Sioux City in 1957 and moved with her family to Fort Worth, Texas. Sandi worked as a homemaker until 1976 when she attended college and took business courses. In July of 1977, she worked for Ryons Western Wear in Fort Worth, first as a sales representative and later as the supervisor of custom clothing. In 1981 she was employed by Fast Freddy’s in Arlington,Texas. She started as a bartender and worked her way up to Director of Operations by the time the business was sold in 1996. Sandi then moved to Portland, Oregon to be closer to her parents. In Portland, Sandi was employed by Cottonwood Financial working her way up to Regional Manager before retiring. Sandi enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, and was an excellent seamstress. She used her sewing skills to make fleece hats for the homeless around Christmas every year. What she was most proud of were her children and grandchildren, sharing exceptionally close bonds with her grandchildren. Sandi is survived by her children Liz Ruffalo, Todd Rodgers, and Damon Coker; her granddaughters Carlie and Abby Ruffalo, Jessica Coker, and Olivia Andriessen; her great granddaughter Alyss Rose Coker; her sister Nita (Denny) Coles; and brother Wally Reinhold. She was preceded in death by 3 spouses, Virgil Moore, Will Rodgers, and Jerry Coker; her parents; and her brother, Marty Reinhold. Sandi had a kind, warm and generous heart. In her world, there were no strangers, only friends she hadn’t met yet. Her passing leaves an empty space in many people's lives where there was once love and laughter and she will be greatly missed. At her request, Sandi will be cremated and her ashes scattered in a private family ceremony. Cremation services will be handled by Autumn in Tigard, Oregon.
