David Dane Denham
July 9th, 1952 - July 17th, 2023
David was born July 19, 1952 in Uravan, Colorado and passed away on July 17, 2023 in Commerce City, Colorado where he lived most of his life. he enlisted in the Army on February 6, 1970 as a helicopter mechanic. He went to Vietnam as the crew chief of a UH1-H in a dust off unit. His awards included the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal among others. He was honorably discharged in 1973. He is preceeded in death by his parents; Jack and Frieda Denham; brothers, Danny and Ronnie Dehnam. He is survived by his sister: Jackie Denham and Jerry Denham; his daughters, Dana Lucero and Angel Hillen; their children; his grandchildren Cheylese Dross, Shawn Lucero, Katelyn Lucero (Dana's children) Damien and Mia Martinez and lil Steven Hillen; his 3 great-grandchildren, Nathan L. Dross, Samira Miranda-Lucero and Athena Fortney and countless nieces and nephews. David will be remembered as a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. Services were held on Fort Logan National Cemetery on August 8, 2023.
