Barbara Ann Searles

Barbara A. Searles (Brissette), age 61 of Prineville, passed away on April 11, 2012. She was born on Sept. 13, 1950, in Caribou, Maine, to Lindbergh and Florence Brissette (Serois). Barbara graduated from Caribou, Maine High School in 1968. She then worked for the Cary Medical Center, in Caribou, as a dietician’s assistant. She was married to David L. Searles from 1969 to 1977. She later married James D. Jeffery in Reno, Nev., and after that marriage, wed Mark Searles. Barbara managed and owned Adult Assisted Living in Dundee and Newberg, Ore. She also managed and owned and adult foster care home in Prineville. Barbara is survived by her son, Michael J. Searles of Dallas, Ore.; daughter, Misty Searles of Newberg, Ore.; step-daughter, Pam Fay and brother-in-law John Fay of Washougal, Wash.; brother, Danny Brissette and sister-in-law Linda Brissette of Montville, Maine; father-in-law, David Searles and mother-in-law Grace Searles; brothers-in-law, William, James, and Russell Searles; sister-in-law, Kathy McCrea (Searles); four grandchildren; four nephews; and two nieces. She is preceded in death by her husband, David L. Searles, and brother, Michael Brissette. A remembrance service will be held at West Chehalem Friends Church, 16700 N.E. North Valley Road, in Newberg, Ore., on Saturday, May 19, at 3 p.m. All guests are welcome to attend. Arrangements by Autumn Funerals, Cremation & Burial, Tigard, Oregon.
