Carolyn Gonzales, 83, of Denver Colorado passed away peacefully on March 18, 2024. She was born to Simodosea and Delfino Gonzales on April 27, 1940 in Arroyo Hondo, New Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: Rosa Cordova, Erlinda Herrera, Margie Medina, and brothers: Fermin, Adonais, Julio and Jake Gonzales. She is survived by her children, Janet Valdez, Sandra Valdez Garcia (Jacob), and Diane Valdez Sigala (John). Grandchildren: Reina Garcia, Jessica Sigala Turner (Andrew), Carra Garcia Montoya (Simon), Jacob Garcia Jr. (Jessica), John Sigala (Amanda) and Andrew Valdez. Great-grandchildren: IdaLynne Garcia; Jenna and Jacob III Garcia; Olivia, Max and Cooper Sigala.
Carolyn raised her three little girls on her own. Worked hard to keep them safe, fed, clothed and the roof of a very big house over them. Strong willed, strong body, strong presence. Carolyn enjoyed living life to the fullest. Loved to dance, go to parties for reunions, baby showers, birthdays, weddings, graduations and any chance to see family. She enjoyed traveling to her hometowns of San Luis and Arroyo Hondo. She went to many places such as Hawaii, the Bahamas, and Mexico just to name a few. She was a great cook and made the best green chile with Pueblo Farm Chile.
