Henrietta Louise Perry (Hank), born September 10, 1933 in Independence township, Palo Alto county Iowa, died February 16, 2017 in Albany Oregon. Hank was the daughter of Robert Marion Brown and Eva Louise Reasoner Brown. She had 2 younger sisters, Nellie and Mary Ann and 1 brother, Bill. She grew up and was educated in and around Ringsted Iowa, graduating from Ringsted high school in 1950. Hank married Stanley T. Jorgensen in 1952. They moved to Oregon in 1956 and divorced in 1963. She married Carl Perry in 1965. Carl and Hank were married for nearly 40 years. Hank had 8 children with Stanley and raised 4 more with Carl. Carl and Hank lived in Sodaville, Oregon. She was a bookkeeper, bartender, and cook. Many will remember her from the years she worked at The Chili Bowl in Lebanon, Pop’s Branding Iron in Albany and Shari’s in Lebanon. Hank and Carl were devout Christians and active members of the Lebanon Christian Center. Hank was an accomplished seamstress, from prom and wedding dresses to christening outfits, she clothed her family and friends. In her later years, she was seldom without her crochet hook and yarn, gifting everyone with afghans, and scarves. Hank was also generous with her love of baking and candy-making. Hank’s grandchildren remember many happy times baking cookies in her kitchen. Hank and Carl loved camping, hunting, and fishing. They also loved to travel and visited most of the United States in their motor home. Hank collected angels and oil lamps. Her collections were legendary. Hank loved animals, especially her Chihuahuas and her cats. Hank was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Eva, sister Mary Ann, beloved husband Carl, children, Gary and Carrie Rose Jorgensen, Michael and Richard Perry. She is survived by children, Rodney (Hwa) Jorgensen, Everett, WA; Martin (Madel) Jorgensen, Lebanon, Oregon; Morris Jorgensen, Ringsted, IA; Joy (John MacDougall) Jorgensen, Albany, OR; Gene (Gloria) Jorgensen, Lebanon, OR; JoAnn (Richard) McIntire, Ringsted, IA; Lola Froehle, Gold Canyon Arizona; and Roger (Kelly) Perry, Sodaville, OR; numerous grand and great grandchildren. Hank will be laid to rest with Carl at the Willamette National Cemetery. There will be a private family service. Please remember Hank with gifts to her church, The Lebanon Christian Center, or to Safe Haven.
