Judy Lee Gunderson
May 7th, 1942 - October 19th, 2013
Judy Lee Gunderson, 71, of McMinnville, went to be with her Lord, peacefully in her home October 19th, 2013. She was born in Portland, OR May 7th, 1942 to Manning Logan Spiker Jr. and Ona Emajean Runkle. Judy graduated from high school in Bend and went on to Eugene Beauty College. She enjoyed living in Anchorage, Alaska, Manzanita Beach and Springfield, before moving to McMinnville and working at Perfect Look as a manager and hairstylist for over 27 years. Judy was known as a very hard worker who would not think twice about giving to others. She is survived by her children Ole Gunderson of Albany and Amanda Hakola of McMinnville; grandchildren Travis Williams, Zion, Malachi and Titus Hakola; and her sister Nina Jo Brown of Dayton. Judy shared a home with her best friend and caregiver Paula Rowan, with whom she also shared many adventures. She loved being a part of Creekside Community Church. Judy's last wishes were to be cremated and scattered on the Oregon Coast by family with no formal memorial. She is very loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew her as a beautician, daughter, sister, cousin, aunt, grandmother, mom, and friend.
