Alice Bernice Wiedemann date of death September 27 2010 Wiedemann, Alice Bernice, 101, 01/05/1909 - 09/27/2010 Alice Wiedemann passed away Sept. 27, 2010, in her sleep. She was 101. She was one of 12 children born to Henry and Bertha Grove on their family farm in Western Minnesota. She married Edward Wiedemann in 1938. He passed away in 1954. Alice is survived by her son, Kenneth and his wife, Carol of Portland; grandchildren, Heidi Martin and husband, Chris of Mercer Island, Wash., and Andrew Wiedemann of Portland; great-grandchildren, Susanna and Maxwell Martin; and sisters, Ellen Bracken of West Linn and Beatrice Swanson of Lenexa, Kan. Alice loved babysitting her grandchildren. A consummate homemaker, she will be remembered for the legendary recipes she passed down. A private memorial service is planned by the family.
