Memorial

Marjorie passed away on August 2, 2017 in hospice care. Born in Detroit, Michigan to George and Dorothy Baker, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Don. Twice married, she was the wife of the late John S. Pennington and the late William W. Ketchum. Marjorie lived in California most of her life, and was a retired school teacher, loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, avid quilter and gardener, and active in her church. She resided at Riverwood Senior Living Center in Tualatin the past several years. She is survived by a son, Malcolm “Mac” Pennington and wife Shelley, of Tigard, Oregon and three daughters, Joan C. Porter and husband Jeffrey of Madison Heights, VA; Gail E. Pennington and husband, John Marshall, of Watertown, MA; and Sarah S. Evitts and husband Walt of Helena, MT; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Services were be held at Riverwood on Saturday August 5, officiated by pastor Dan Zike. A Family memorial service were held at The Grand Hotel of Bridgeport in Tigard on Sunday August 6, officiated by Rev. Jeff Porter.
