Charles Ferdinand Breyer
March 27th, 1929 - February 11th, 2016
Charles (Chuck) Ferdinand Breyer, 86, of Portland Oregon passed away on February 11th, 2016. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Maybelle and two daughters, Pamela Breyer-Moeller of Exeter NH and Jill Roland of San Diego, CA. He is also survived by four grandchildren, Emilie & Max Moeller, Jacquelyn Koch & Nick Roland, and 2 great-grandchildren, Caden & Holden Koch and is predeceased by his brother, Jim Breyer, of Fargo, ND. Chuck was born in Fargo, North Dakota on March 27th 1929. In 1951 he enlisted in the Air National Guard and served 2 years. After completing military service, Chuck graduated from North Dakota State Agricultural College (NDSU) in 1950 with a degree in Applied Arts & Sciences. After 38 years, Chuck retired as a salesman for 3M and continued living in his Eastmoreland home of over 50 years. Chuck was a member of the Portland Rose Society, an avid cultivator of roses in addition to being a lifetime blood donor for the American Red Cross. Chuck’s wry sense of humor will be missed at the local coffee shop and the gym on weekday mornings. Chuck will be remembered fondly by his family and friends.
