Marnie Lynn Sievers

Marnie Lynn Sievers, 58, passed away unexpectedly and way too soon in her home on March 13, 2024 in Canby, Oregon. 

Marnie was a native Oregonian; born on November 21, 1965 to Chuck and Jeri Hanson, and she definitely had her mom’s looks and dad’s smile. 

Marnie graduated from BHS then got married and had two sons. She absolutely loved being a mother, and she was an enthusiastic volunteer at any, and every school function or sport activity. 

Marnie spent a very long career as a clerk at the Canby Post Office and you won’t meet a soul who didn’t love her; she had a heart of gold, she would give anyone the moon and the stars if she could. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, especially her family who loved her so much. 

Marnie was eccentric and quite the artist, she could draw anything. It was an absolute joy to see her innovative ideas come to life. Her house was never empty... she loved animals... the sun on her face... a trip to the beach and stopping to smell the flowers, she enjoyed the simple things in life. Marnie’s menagerie of animals included: Kona, Luna (great danes), Orange and Mr. Meowgee (cats), Tortellini (tortoise), Tang (parakeet), and Vanilla and Chocolate (geckos). 

Our hearts ache without her presence. It is an enormous loss to not have her bright light in this world. 

She is survived by her sons Cody and Justin; two grandchildren Avery and Walker; her mother Jeri; and her sister Nicki and her brother Charlie, his wife Christina and her nephew Parker and niece Ryah; and lots of uncles, aunts, and cousins all over the United States from the West to the East Coast.
