Joseph 'Joey' Dominic Viera
July 18th, 2000 - February 4th, 2021
Obituary Joseph Dominic "Joey" Viera, 20, passed away on February 4, 2021. He always tried to help where he could and his life was taken while trying to help a friend through a difficult situation. Joey was born on July 18, 2000, in Florida. He loved to travel and had many fun trips with his family. Among his favorites were Disney and long summer trips that included bear watching in Yellowstone, exploring the mountains and waterfalls in Colorado, Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, Mt. Rushmore, The Alamo and whale watching with his father in California. Joey achieved his lifelong dream of joining the Army when he turned 18, and had been stationed at Fort Carson. Joeys desire to help others extended beyond his passing. As an organ donor, he was able to help save the lives of four people. Joey is survived by his parents Joseph and Lynn; his older sisters Alicia and Paige and his younger brother Christopher. He also leaves behind his grandparents, Jim and Susan; his paternal step-grandmother Susan and his aunts, uncles and younger cousins who all loved him dearly. The family will honor Joey and celebrate his life in a private family gathering.
