Steven Allen Jensen

Steven Allen Jensen passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ June 26, 2019. He was born November 4, 1941 in Davenport, IA to Min & Harry Jensen. Steve was an avid basketball player, having played for both his high school and college. He graduated from Davenport HS in 1959 and from St. Ambrose College in Davenport in 1963. He had also been a drummer in a Rock-N-Roll band during those times. His interests were always in basketball and cars, and racing of any kind Nascar, Stockcar, Drag Racing and motorcycles. He also enjoyed watching sports, mainly the Denver Nuggets and the Denver Broncos. Steve lived in Colorado for 51 years, 41 of those years in Colorado Springs. He worked in the Institutional Food Industry until his retirement in 2006. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gayla and their three sons, Randy & Angela of Houston, TX, Tim of Colorado Springs, and Matt & Dawn of Colorado Springs; grandchildren, Charles & Katie, Jessica, Kyle & Olivia and Alia; one great grandson, Rhett and one great granddaughter due October 2019. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his only brother, Ron. Memorial contributions may be made in his honor to the Steven Jensen Memorial Fund, Salem Lutheran Church, 4318 N.
