Mary Tracy

Obituary Kathleen was born to Fred and Clara Galbraith in Albion, NE. She was the second child of seven children. She grew up in Trail City, SD. Kathleen graduated as a RN from St. Johns School of Nursing in Rapid City, SD, and moved to Rawlings, WY in the late 1930s where she met her future husband, Carl Tracy. Kathleen married Carl in 1941 in Ft. Collins, CO. They had four children. The family lived in Laramie, WY prior to moving to Colorado Springs in 1955.Kathleen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed cooking, hosting family gatherings, playing bridge, reading, games, sewing, knitting, needlework and watching the Broncos. She was a devout Catholic. Kathleen was very outgoing and loved gathering with family and friends. Her family, and many friends and neighbors will her quick wit, charm and graciousness.Kathleen is survived by children Phyllis (Tom) Powell, Windsor, CO; Michael Tracy, Lakewood, CO; Marsha Atchley, Colorado Springs; daughter-in-law Karen Tracy-Thompson, Albuquerque, NM; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, one brother and numerous nieces and nephews. Her parents, husband, Carl; son, Patrick Tracy; three sisters, and two brothers preceded her in death.A Rosary Vigil at 10:30 a.m. and Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. will be held at Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 2410 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO on Septemeber 28, 2013. A reception will immediately follow the mass in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, we ask you make donations to Legacy Hospice, 1524 N.
