Obituary Kenneth Alan Laxton passed away February 24, 2021. Kenny was a Colorado Springs native, born July 17, 1965. He is survived by his sisters, Sherrie (Geoff) Campbell and Cindy (Mike) Thomas; brothers, Gary (Kelly) Laxton, Tim Laxton and Rick (Anne) McCall; stepmother, Carole Laxton; Nieces, Amy (Sean) Pearson, Julie (Tim) Barr, Liza (Dave) Smith, Jessica Campbell, Lindsay (Jason) Nadeau, Brianne Tambone and nephew, Kevin Joyner; also six great nieces and six great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry Laxton and Mary Lou, and Gary Peterson. Ken graduated from Palmer High School in 1983. He worked many years in the restaurant and retail industry. He was a proud member of the B.P.O.Elks Lodge #309 and loved volunteering there. His favorite activities were enjoying the outdoors with friends and family, camping, snowmobiling, and riding ATVs. He was an avid dog lover, passionate about cooking and was revered for his love and knowledge of classic rock music. Kenny was a great (great) uncle and will be fondly remembered for his goofy jokes and sense of humor. A reception to celebrate Kennys life will be held March 14th at 1:00 PM at BPO Elks Lodge #309, 3400 N.Nevada Ave, 80907. Due to COVID restrictions and limited occupancy, please contact Sherrie at [email protected] if planning to attend.
