Obituary Janice Marie Hodge of Colorado Springs, age 70, died December 29, 2021 in hospice care after a long struggle with serious health issues. Jan was born in Springfield, Illinois to Forest and Amanda Hodge on December 10, 1951. She graduated Springfield Southeast High School in 1969 and attended the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. She retired in 2003 as Manager of the Continuing Medical Education department at Colorado Springs Memorial Hospital. Jan was an avid knitter for many years. She enjoyed Saturday movies with her friends, gardening, travel and Broncos football. Before her physical decline, she was very active in the outdoors of Colorado and enjoyed hiking and viewing wildlife. She particularly took pleasure in spending time with and caring for her grandchildren. Jan was preceded in death by her brother Hank, sister Tracy Voth, and her parents. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Larry VonDeBur of Colorado Springs; son, Evan VonDeBur (Melanie) of Parker, CO; grandchildren Kael, Juliet and Elora of Parker; two sisters, Jill McClain of Canton, MA and Nancy (Mike) Long of Springfield and many nieces and nephews. A private service is being planned for family and close friends.
