JoAnn Marie (Berghaus) Miller Born July 29, 1935 in Dodge City, Kansas the third child of Ben and Rose Berghaus of Plains, Kansas. Siblings include Daniel and Nona Berghaus. JoAnn was very proud of the families homesteading and farming roots. JoAnn graduated from Plains High School in 1953 then attended Kansas State University earning a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics and Interior Design. JoAnn married Jim R. Miller August 25, 1956 at St. Johns Catholic Church in Meade, Kansas. They had two sons Gregory Lynn Miller and Bradley Thomas Miller. With her family JoAnn moved numerous times residing in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas and Colorado. Pursuing her passion for interior design, antiques and antique collecting were a big part of JoAnns life. She eventually turned her passion into a business becoming an antique dealer, owning and operating the business for over twenty years. The antique collecting allowed JoAnn and Jim to travel extensively visiting most states in the continental US and making several trips to Europe. JoAnn made her home in Monument, Colorado with her husband Jim for the past twenty five. JoAnn is preceded in death by her parents Ben and Rose Berghaus and brother Daniel Berghaus. JoAnn is survived by her husband Jim Miller of Monument, CO; sister Nona Berghaus of Emporia, KS; sons Greg (Kay) Miller of Parker, CO, Brad (Janet) Miller of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren Allison and Amanda Miller Private family viewing will be held Monday March 19th from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Private family services will be held Tuesday March 20th at 10:00 AM to be immediately followed by a graveside ceremony. Viewing and Services to be held at: Cappadona Funeral Home 1020 E.
