Obituary David Joe Schoonover, a Colorado Springs native, was taken suddenly from his wife and family on August 24, 2022. He was born to Roberta Vallejo and Bob Joe Schoonover on June 5, 1981. He was a very kind soul; a humble and caring person. He always went far and beyond for family, friends and even strangers. He would give the shirt off his back with a smile and never expect anything in return. His past time was spending time with his wife, Carolina, as they played board games and card games, but his favorite was when they made crafts together etching glass. David carried a strong, unconditional love for all of his nephews and nieces. He would love to tell stories and them, but always expressed his love for them. He had the soul of a child with a heart of gold. "Chubbs" was the apple of Uncle Davids eyethey played from dawn to night. As soon as Chubbs would walk in the house no one or nothing would matter but Uncle David!! The only worry he had was when our fur babies were out late at night and David would call them in to make sure they also were safe just another piece of his heart!! He is survived by his wife, Carolina Marie Schoonover; his mother& Brian Vallejo; his father and wife, Bob Joe & Twalia Schoonover; his son, Trey and two daughters, Alexis and Alycia Schoonover, two step-daughters and two grandbabies. He is also survived by five sisters, three brothers, and their spouses. And last, but ot least, his fur babies Meow-Meow and Jack. Your browser does not support this video format.
