Patty Ann Williams

Obituary Patty Ann Williams (Newbold), 91, of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away on October 18th, 2022, at her residence. She was born on June 8th, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1963, Patty married Gerald W. Williams Jr. in Boulder, Colorado. She worked as a purchaser for TRW for several years in Los Angeles, California, and then a buyer of electronic parts for the Apache Helicopter for Boeing Aircraft in Phoenix, Arizona. After she retired, she worked for the Area Agency on Aging in Mesa, Arizona which helped other senior citizens. She did volunteer work for Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Arizona State Game and Parks Commission. She dearly loved nature and hiked throughout the United States and the world. Some of the places that she hiked included Italy, Germany, Scotland, and Morocco. Some of her hobbies included rock collecting, cooking, playing cards, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. She also enjoyed art and in her later years took up oil painting with her daughter. Ms. Williams graduated with a major in Geography from the University of Cincinnati as a Phi Beta Kappa in 1953 and attended Withrow HIgh School in Cincinnati, Ohio. She is survived by her daughter, Natalie Becker, son in law, Daniel Becker, grandchildren, Katelyn Becker and Heidi Becker. Ms. Williams also is survived by her nephew, Scott Triece and nieces, Sherrie Chovanec and Patty Boerger. She was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Martha Newbold, siblings, Marianne Triece, Stan Matlock, Mason Matlock, and her son, Wayne G. Williams, and ex-husband, Gerald W. Williams Jr. Funeral services will be held for Ms. Williams at Cappadona's Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado on Friday, October 28th, 2022. Viewing will be available from 3-5 p.m followed by Ms. Williams' service at 5 p.m. Memorial donations may be made in Patty Williams' honor to the World Wildlife Fund or the Sierra Club. Please wear bright colors, Patty did not like black!
