November 11th, 1942 - February 6th, 2023
Obituary James Lee Glover, 81, of Colorado Springs, passed away peacefully in his sleep February 6, 2023, after many years of dealing with diabetes and kidney failure requiring dialysis. James or "Jim" or "Jimmy" was born on November 11, 1941, to Leo Lewis and Maxine A Glover in Coalinga, California. Jim graduated from Santa Cruz High School and joined the Navy shortly after high school. He served four years in the Navy and was honorably discharged in 1964. He never married but stayed close to his family all his life. Jim retired from Penrose Centura Health where he worked in customer service in 2004. He spent many years on San Juan Island where he enjoyed many friends and family before moving back to Colorado Springs. Jim was always looking for people to play cards as that was something he always enjoyed. Jim was preceded in death by his father, Leo Lewis Glover and his mother, Maxine Lillemoen. He is survived by his brother, Robert and wife Bonnie; sister, Carol and husband Wayne; along with three nephews, Stephen Helgoth, Brent Helgoth and Blake Helgoth, and one niece, Teri McPadden; also numerous great nephews and nieces.
