Obituary Jose Cayetano Vasquez, age 40, from Colorado Springs CO, passed away on Friday, April 28th, 2023. Jose, went peacefully in his sleep. Jose was born in Denver CO, mother Charlotte Vasquez (Torres) and father Cayetano Vasquez. He attended Coronado High School. Graduated from International Salon and Spa Academy: Barber School. Proud native of Colorado he grew up active in sports, soccer, Ice Hockey, Camping, skateboarding. Fan of great food, you could always see his posts showing off his latest meal. He grew up fascinated with Star Wars and was always excited to share the next movie with his daughters, nephews and nieces. He was dedicated to his family and friends. He always felt it was important to brighten up everyones day, even strangers. He had an infectious smile that would light up any room. Quite the jokester, it was hard not to remember any encounter with him. Jose is preceded by his Grandfather Louise Torres of Trinidad CO and Grandmother Florence Torres (Tenorio) also of Trinidad CO. His Great Grandmother Julia Gonzalez of Bronx NY. His cousins Felix Anthony Abalos (Little Tony) and Tanya Hopkins-Peterson. He is survived by his daughters Nadilynn Vasquez and Maxine Vasquez. His Grandparents Henry and Gloria Gelpi. His parents Cayetano and Charlotte (Torres) Vasquez. Two sisters Demetria Vasquez and Alyssia Vasquez. Nephews Cayetano L Vasquez, Gabriel Freeman-Vasquez, and niece Aiyana Freeman-Vasquez. The viewing for Jose will be on Monday, May 15th 2023, at the Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E Fillmore St. Colorado Springs CO 80907 at 4PM-6PM. The funeral is on Wednesday, May 17th 2023, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2030 W Colorado Ave, Colorado Springs CO 80904 at 10:00 AM. We invite anyone wanting to attend, to wear either something green or Star Wars.
