Patricia Perea Abbott
February 14th, 1963 - May 29th, 2014
Obituary Rebecca Patricia Perea Abbott 51, loving mother, daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of May 29th 2014, with her sister by her side, following an extensively courageous and inspirational battle with Cancer. Rebecca was born to Jose and Enedina Perea in Colorado Springs, Colorado on February 14th 1963. She attended Coronado High School and then went on to marry her high school sweet heart. Shortly there after she gave birth to her first child Christina, before the military took the family to Spain where Zachary Jr. was born, before settling back home in Colorado Springs. She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles where she enjoyed spending time. For Becky there was never such a thing as too much purple. Scrapbooking, shopping, gardening, and spending time with family and friends is what brought her joy. She fiercely loved her children and grandsons. Her stubbornness, drive, and sense of humor is what helped her to carry out the brave fight for more than four long years, she will be truly missed by the many she leaves behind: her mother Enedina Perea, daughter Christina Tanner (Robert) and son Zachary Abbott Jr. (Aurora); her loves--grandsons Dayton Lee Abbott and Rylan Wade Tanner; and her siblings Rita Perea (Melissa), Rick Perea and Dennis Perea (Kerri). She also leaves behind many amazing nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She is preceded in death by Baby Abbott, her father Jose Perea and her brother Virgil Perea. Services will be held on June 6th 2014 at 11:00AM at Sacred Heart Church at 2030 W. Colorado Ave., with a reception to follow at 12:30PM at the Eagles Club at 1050 S. 21ST St. Colorado Springs, CO 80904.
