Obituary On November 16, 2014, Noel Elaine Ryan, age 73, died peacefully in her sleep in the presence of friends and family. She is survived by her husband, John Ryan, and her son, Aaron Ryan. Noel was born on September 18, 1941, of Nelson and Phyllis Heydorn in New York City and she grew up living in various suburbs of that city. She attended Dover Business College and upon completion of that she worked at Eastman Dillon Union Securities. She met John Ryan in New York and they were married on July 13, 1965, in nearby Fanwood, NJ. Noel and John then went to live in Charleston, SC, while he finished the last year of his enlistment in the US Navy. From there, they moved to Columbia, MO, while he finished his last year of college. In June, 1967, they moved to the Chicago area where on July 9, 1971, she gave birth to their only son, Aaron. In 1973, they moved to Colorado and discovered Colorado Springs. In about 1986, Noel started working at Memorial Hospital in the Mother/Baby Unit where she continued working until she retired in 2006, she touched the lives of many people there and elsewhere. She firmly believed that "what goes around comes around" and when she saw someone, a friend or a neighbor or a co-worker, who needed help she did what she could to help with no expectation of payback or any particular expression of gratitude. Noel was much beloved by many people. She enjoyed playing golf, bowling, working on her house and her yard and she was committed to recycling aluminum, paper and plastic. Per her wishes, she will have no formal burial service and no special "celebration of her life" is planned. In lieu of flowers or memorial contributions she would have preferred her friends to perform simple acts of kindness whenever they think of her. Services Funeral Service
