Obituary FRANCES HELEN BERLIN (OBRIEN) Frances Helen Berlin (OBrien), age 54, lost her fight against cancer on August 20, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Fran was born February 7, 1961 in Syracuse, New York to James and Louise (Connorton) OBrien. She spent her childhood in upstate New York and Maryland, and was a proud graduate of St. Marys College of Maryland. Fran married Mark Andrew Berlin on April 26th, 1986 in Westminster, Maryland. Their first child, Andrew Ryan Berlin, was born in 1990. The family moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in 1994 where their second child, Evan William Berlin, was born. Fran is survived by her aunt, Janet Connorton of Rochester, NY; sisters Stephanie OBrien (Jeffrey Rosenzweig) of Hanover, PA; Evelyn (Dorian) St. Martin of Marriottsville, MD; Jennifer (Joe) Breslin of West Chester, PA; and Rebecca (John) Weigman of Dallas, TX; brothers Vincent (Cheryl) OBrien of Roswell, GA and Timothy (Lisa) OBrien of Park City, UT. In addition, Fran is survived by nieces and nephews Anastasia, Gabriel, Cullen and Helen Rosenbrien; Meghan (Ryan) Lester, Clara and Scott St. Martin; Kathryn, Moire and Seamus Breslin; Jimmy, Colleen and Laura OBrien; Patrick, Michael and Matthew OBrien; and Cecilia, Bernadette, Pete and Tim Weigman. Fran was preceded in death by her beloved aunt, Ruth Mary Connorton in 2015. Fran was an avid and passionate gardener. She could always be found out in her yard, where she loved planting, trimming, mowing and caring for all her plants. Her yard and gardens are a testament to this passion. Fran loved the outdoors and all that Colorado had to offer. She enjoyed hiking, camping and especially fishing. She had many happy experiences exploring the parks, monuments and outdoors of all of Colorado. Fran was also an avid golfer, getting out whenever she could. She was a member of the Digital Golf League for many years and participated in a number of tournaments each year. A celebration of life will be held Saturday August 29th October 17th at 10 AM at Cappadonna Funeral Home in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Following, Fran's ashes will be placed at Evergreen Cemetery in Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Dream Power Animal Rescue (http://dreampoweranimalrescue.com/DonWays.html) or San Luis Valley Animal Welfare Society (http://www.slvaws.org/) in Fran's memory.
