Catherine Hendrixson

Obituary Catherine 'Kay' Hendrixson, 91, passed away on September 2, 2014 in Colorado Springs, CO. Kay was born and raised in Chicago, IL. She met her future husband, Harry Hendrixson, on a train trip to California in 1948 and married him in 1949, setting off on a world of adventure. Kay was a military wife, a mother of 3, and worked in retail at Travis AFB, CA before retiring in 1986. Kay will be remembered as a very optimistic and strong-willed woman with a fiery spirit. She loved life and lived life to its fullest and on her own terms. She enjoyed her family, reading, shopping, and watching antique roadshow and travel shows. Kay had a life-long devotion to Saint Jude and would often say, 'Saint Jude, do your thing!'Kay joins her husband Harry Hendrixson and daughter Cathy Worsham. She is survived by her son David Hendrixson, daughter Rhea Hendrixson, son-in-law Bill Worsham, grandchildren Lisa Worsham, Brad Baker (and his wife Rocio), Ryan, Scott and Stephanie Hendrixson, and great-grandchildren Olivia and Delia Baker. Our beloved Kay is a bright star in the nighttime sky. There is sweetness in the laughter of all the stars and in the memories of those we love.Praised be You, my Lord, with all Your creatures, Especially Sir Brother Sun Who is the day and through whom You give us light.
