Pauline Cooper
August 23rd, 1949 - November 21st, 2018
Pauline Gordon-Cooper was born on August 23rd, 1949 in West Point, Mississippi, to the parents Edward and Sedonia Gordon, who preceded her in death. Pauline Cooper went to meet Jehovah on November 21st., 2018 surrounded by family, after a long battle with Lupus. She was the second of seven children. Pauline grew up in East St. Louis, IL, where she met and married Jerry Cooper. To this union Carmela Cooper - Church was born. She moved to Colorado in 1974 with her husband, who was stationed at Ft. Carson. She retired after 25 years as a cashier at Safeway. Her daughter Carmela, granddaughters Mindi and Raven Cooper-Church, and great grandson Decari Fleming remember her as a devoted mother and grandmother. Affectionately known as "Granny" she had a personality out of this world, an attitude like no other, and she would tell it how it is, 'You get what you get, and you don't throw a fit!' . In her free time, she loved to hike, cook, spend time with her family and most of all talk. Oh boy that lady could talk and would talk to anyone who would listen. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for anyone if she was able. She leaves to cherish her memories six siblings; Edward Gordon Jr. (Seattle, WA), Erie and Lydia Gordon (Washington Park, IL), Harvey (Gaye) Gordon (Belleville, IL), Rosie Gordon (Flint, MI) and Jashul (Glenn) Dinkins, Hanover Park, IL. Also a host of nieces, nephews and dear friends. To know her was to love her; she will be sorely missed by her family and friends.
