Nicole Jeanine Hood

Nicole Jeanine (Haynes) Hood, born March 21, 1979, passed into eternal life on Monday, December 10th, 2018. The light of our lives and a fiercely loyal friend. We called her Tutti, Cole, Coley, Cissy, Nikki, Mommy, Auntie, Auntie Baby and Nicole. She lived her life Family First from Disney and other vacations to concerts to everyday living. Humble and dedicated to her faith, she is greatly missed. Lifelong resident of Colorado Springs, she was the beloved daughter of Leonard M. Haynes II and Catherine (De Witt) Haynes. She and her loving husband, Derek M. Hood, were married on July 5th, 2005. She is also survived by their two daughters: Tatianna (Donnie Norris) and Aiyanna; grandmother: Mary Aurelia De Witt; step-mother: June Haynes; brothers: Luke, Michael (Raina Sandoval) and Tyler; honorary brother: Nathaniel "Nate" McDaniel, Jr.; in-laws: Gartrell and Jennifer Hood; sister-in-law: Mia Hood. Great-aunts: Josephine McClellan, Janella Caperton, Jillian Johnson, Margaret Dulley; aunts: Toni Norris (Johnnie), Linda Blackwell (Charles), Elaine De Witt, Beverly De Witt, Rhonda Haynes, Angela Patterson and Mary De Witt-Byrd. Great-uncle: Joseph Blakely; uncles: John De Witt, Brian Haynes (LaNell) and Michael De Witt. Cousins: Jordan Norris (Danielle), Danielle Johnson (Rob), Amber Roberson (Idris), Joshua Norris (Becca), Michael Patterson (Stephanie), Marques Patterson (Lacey), Brendan Jones (Candi), Jeremy Norris, Leah Henderson (Cameron) Brianna Haynes, Davis Byrd and Brian "LB" Haynes. Nieces and nephews: Kierra, Cameron, Illianna, Julliano, Gianna, Melissa, Makayla and Micah. Special thanks to cousin, Monique Sims (Mickileta "Micki" Smith); and very best friend, Marchai Powell (William "Stink" Long), who were of great assistance to her life and especially during the last weeks. Thank you, Kaejah Moore for constant and unfailing family support. Also mourning our loss are a host of cousins, second cousins, extended family and friends, co-workers and clients from UnitedHealth Group, Advance America, and Ent Federal Credit Union. Nicole was predeceased by her grandparents, Raymond De Witt, Leonard M. Haynes, and Jean F. Haynes. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. Followed by Funeral Mass, 10 a.m., on Wednesday, December 19th, 2018 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 3122 Poinsetta Drive, Colorado Springs, CO 80907. Reception follows at Holy Apostles Catholic Church (in the church hall), 4925 Carefree Circle North, Colorado Springs following the Mass.
