Robert Allen 'Bob' Stroup

Obituary Robert (Bob) Stroup was born on January 25, 1938 to Loyd and Lucille Stroup (Brown) in Corwith, Iowa. He went to be with his Lord on November 9, 2021, leaving his two brothers and spouses Ron and Dianne Stroup and Thomas and Donna Stroup, and one sister, Arline Jennex Martin, along with a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Bob graduated from the Corwith High School in May, 1956. He worked during and after high school at his fathers gas station in Corwith, then joined the Army and served playing his Trombone in the U.S. Army Band in Hawaii from 1958-1961. He married JoAnn Olson of Forest City, Iowa on June 6, 1965. Bob worked in retail for several years before moving to Colorado where he was employed for many years at the Fitzsimmons Medical Center in Colorado Springs until he retired. He commuted daily to his home in Monument which had a beautiful view of Pikes Peak. Bob was very active all his life in the music programs of his local church, community bands and orchestras, and was active in men's Bible study groups. He was a beloved Uncle to a host of nephews and nieces, as well as friends in his church and community. He will be greatly missed.
