Tanya Calloway

Obituary Ms. Tanya Calloway was called to the peaceful kingdom to transition into eternal life on the early morning of July 16th, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 46, she was called home after the long struggle of multiple sclerosis. She was in the presence of her youngest daughter at the time of her passing. Tanya "T" is survived by her children: Shakiea Calloway(26) Ciera Calloway(24), and Alvin Smalls Jr. (16) of Colorado Springs, Co. She had three beautiful grandchildren Mason, Briannha, Markel. She also survived by her sister Aretha Laster of Chicago, IL and Melvin Gardner Jr. Indianapolis, IN. She is preceded in death by her parents Patricia Johnson and Melvin Gardner Sr. Tanya was born in 1970 in Gary Indiana. She graduated from Lew Wallace High School. Soon after graduating high school, Tanya joined the armed forces and served 9 years. After she was discharged she worked as a accountant. In 1999 she was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Even though she has passed her legacy of being a fighting soldier, loving mother, and a great grandmother, and friend live on. She loved the Lord, her children, grandchildren, and Biggi Smalls, music, bingo, Tupac, adventures activities. She was full of spunk, the life of the party and always smiled through the pain. We Shall forever remember her as a loving friend that will be dearly missed.
