Obituary Roy Cooper passed on to be with the Lord March 10, 2021. He was born to John and Anna Cooper on April 13, 1930, he was the only son but had two older sisters. Roy grew up in eastern Nebraska and on July 4th 1951, he married Elizabeth Buddecke of Kimball Nebraska. Roy was an awesome person, he was a person of truth and trust, he was a big man with a gentle soul, he was a man of humor and he must have loved to see people smile. We all loved to see his smile. Roy spent years driving trailers across the United States. In 1966, he moved our family to Ft. Collins and took a job with the CSU housing department. In 1972 he moved farther south (to avoid shoveling snow) to Austin Texas. Roy worked at the University of Texas in housing and maintenance. Roy was a talented builder; he could build anything as well as fix anything. Roy and Liz loved to travel, visiting Germany, Belgium and Holland. Upon retirement they continued with that passion and took up full time RVing. They visited and enjoyed the beauty of the country and the people within the United States. They were avid game players both on and off the road, their children and grandchildren enjoyed playing dice, dominoes or cards. They eventually settled in Canyon Lake Texas. Roy is preceded in death by his parents John and Anna Cooper;, his sisters, Lula Schneider and Lorna (Grube); his wife of 65 years, Elizabeth Cooper and daughter, Cathy McGuinness. Roy is survived in life by son, Rich Cooper and wife, Cindy of Beverly Hills Florida; son, Allen Cooper and wife, Pam of Woodland Park Colorado; daughter, Barbara Kidwell and husband, Clinton of Kyle Texas; and son in law, Charles McGinness of Aurora Colorado. Roy has eight Grandchildren, Matthew and Jesse McGinness, Michael Cooper, Michelle Thomas, Chris and Sonya Hayes, and Paula and Jennifer Millender. Fourteen Great Grandchildren, Mashay Montanez, Mateo and Kross McGinness, Madelyn and Cooper McGinness, Damion Chandool, Jazmine Gibson, Andrew and Madison Cooper, Devin Lehman, Allen Hayes, Rob Quarles, and Michael Kelley.
