Obituary Homer V. Horton passed away August 23, 2017 at Penrose Main Hospital in Colorado Springs. He was born August 6, 1940 in Louisville, KY. He served in the USAF from 1961 to 1967 at RAF Alconbury and the Pentagon. Homer moved his family from Louden, New Hampshire to Colorado Springs in 1975 to attend Nazarene Bible College. He worked in the meat market and retired from King Soopers in 1996. Homer started and ran D-Hi / AAA Lawn Service from the mid-90s until 2013. He loved to play and coach basketball, but his greatest joy came singing and playing instruments with his older brothers and sisters; Darline Horton, Richard Horton, Jr., Freeda Young, Henry Horton, and Viola Geddings. Homer is survived by his siblings, his children: Becki, James, Jerry, Sara, Pam, Janelle, and Nathan, grandchildren: Geoffrey, Stephen, Richard, Ace, Zoe, Tia, Christa, Andrew, Daryl, Austin, Lailah, and Elias, and great-grandchildren: Aidan, Catherine, Conor, and Nikola. Homer was preceded in death by his wife, Debbie and his parents, Richard L. Horton, Sr. and Jerusha (Walker) Horton. A Memorial Service will be held at Pine Hill Church of the Nazarene in McEwen, TN October 28th at 11 AM. Services Services are to be announced
