Peggy Rieck

Obituary Peggy Noeen Rieck, age 82, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her three children, Parker (Laura) Rieck of Loveland, Colorado, Perry (Kim) Rieck, and Paul (Carla) Rieck of Colorado Springs, Colorado; twelve grandchildren, Anthony Rieck, Dana Rieck, Ian Rieck, Philip Rieck, Jared Rieck, Natalie Rieck, Elizabeth (Msgt. Christopher Poole) Poole, Christie (Corporal Blaine Moulton) Moulton, Sergeant Jeffry (Erin) Rieck, Heather Rieck, Ashley (2nd Lt. Nathan Whitehead) Whitehead, and Kalie Rieck; and seven great-grandchildren, Liberty Poole, Noah Poole, Harmony Poole, Nephi Poole, Faith Poole, Lexi Moulton, and Kali Moulton. She is also survived by her four siblings, Roger (Valerie) Beckenhauer, Rosalie Wilkins, Michael Luzier, and David Luzier. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale LaVerne Rieck. Peggy was born in Norfolk, Nebraska to Athlyn Luzier and Otto Beckenhauer on March 7, 1934. She moved to Colorado in 1936. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School in 1952. Shortly thereafter, she met the love of her life, Dale Rieck. They were married on February 12, 1955 and had three children, Parker, Perry, and Paul. Peggy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and Dale started the business Kar Kraft in 1977. Peggy was a homemaker and a bookkeeper for the family business. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints for many years. She enjoyed sewing, making crafts, baking, and her favorite Hershey candy bars. Peggy had a love for Pekinese dogs and cherished her three dogs, Sasha, Tasha, and Happy. Visitation will be held at Cappadona Funeral Home, 1020 E. Fillmore, on Sunday, December 11 from 2 to 4 p.m. A memorial service will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 1705 N. Murray Blvd. at 11 a.m. Monday, December 12, 2016, with a viewing from 10 to 10:30. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
