All Veterans Funeral & Cremation - Colorado Springs
Arline I. Lenihan
March 31st, 1928 - July 20th, 2015
Obituary Arline was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Harry and Isabelle (Ivens) Kleppe. She graduated from high school and business college, and in 1951, eloped with a charming Marine she met at Devils Lake near Baraboo, Wisconsin. They would be together for the next 61 years. Arline loved to cook and entertain, and at every duty station or port of call, she attempted to add to her culinary skills. She made a loving hoe for her family in North Carolina, Oklahoma, California, Lebanon, Syria, Virginia, Maryland, Ethiopia, Saudi Arabia, and finally retired in Colorado Springs. She developed a passion for playing bridge, attaining a master level, while enjoying the company of the Jolly girls, a group of friends that played together. An avid football fan, you would find her rooting for the Denver Broncos, Green Bay Packers and Air Force Falcons during the fall and winter. She is survived by sons Gregory and Jeffrey; daughter Laurie; daughter-in-law Karen; grandchildren Simone, Jacob, and Tomas; great grandchildren Jayla, Jayven, Weston, and Brock. She was preceded in death by her husband (John), parents, brother (Tom) and a daughter (Kathleen). In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Pike Peak Hospice Foundation, 2550 Tenderfoot Hill Street, Colorado Springs, CO 80906.
