Ramona Rae Setzler

Ramona Rae Setzler was born on May 22, 1958 in Medford, Oregon to Robert & Donna Rombach. She crossed the finish line surrounded by her loving family on June 29, 2022, at the age of 64 after 2 years of fighting stage 4 melanoma. Ramona grew up in Medford, Oregon with her older brothers Mike & Gary. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1976. She married her high school sweetheart Richard Dean Setzler on December 29, 1976. In 1977 they welcomed their first daughter, Angela Renee, followed by Sandra Nicole in 1980 and Sarah Ann in 1982. Ramona raised three beautiful daughters and was a role model to hundreds of children who were in her kindergarten class at O’Hara Catholic School. She lived life to the fullest, taking every opportunity to go on an adventure. She loved to travel, hike, kayak, camp, paddle board, bicycling and going on long walks. Visiting the beach and watching the sunrise & sunset was her favorite! She truly was an angel on earth who was an inspiration to all those she met. She was faith-filled, pure radiant joy, a courageous beacon of light and an honor to know. Ramona was preceded in death by her father, Robert. She is survived by the love of her life and husband of 45 years, Richard; 3 amazing daughters, Angela McNulty (T.J.), Sandra Tracy (Lee) & Sarah Howarth (Travis); grandchildren, Ash, Jadyn, James, Elizabeth, MaKenna, Teron & Emily; her mother, Donna and her brothers Mike & Gary. Memorial services will be held July 6, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Eugene, Oregon, during the 12:15 mass. Preceding will be the rosary at 11:30. In leu of flowers donations in Ramona’s memory may be directed to the Oregon Cancer Foundation, Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Carmelite Nuns in Eugene, Oregon.
